When Pepperdine University decided that it would like to add a law school to the university in 1964, they chose to purchase the Orange University College of Law. The original campus was in Santa Ana, CA, but the campus moved to Anaheim, CA in 1973 and finally joined the main campus of Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA in 1978. Ever since 1975 Pepperdine Law School has been fully accredited and approved by both the ABA and the California State Bar. A Bachelor's degree is a requirement for admission to law school, and Pepperdine Law School also requires applicants to submit their LSAT scores, two personal recommendations, a response to the mission statement of the school, the admissions application and fee, a resume and a personal statement. They must also sign up to be a part of the Law School Admissions Data Assembly Service (LSDAS), as their transcripts and recommendations must be submitted through this service in order for consideration of the school during the admissions process.
